Prometeon Tyre Egypt supports Gamal Abdel Nasser Hospital accommodate COVID-19 patients In support of national efforts to flatten COVID-19 curve

Prometeon Tyre Egypt extended its support to the Egyptian medical sector by renovating 2 rooms at Gamal Abdel Nasser Hospital in Alexandria to expand its capacity to accommodate COVID-19 patients. The company also supported the hospital logistically by providing needed medical equipment including nebulizers, blood pressure devices, stethoscopes, and digital thermometers. Antonio Dolgetta, CEO Egypt at Prometeon Tyre Group comments: “Putting the public benefit before our eyes as a top priority is what drives us and other business leaders to take steps forward. Renovating Gamal Abdel Nasser Hospital rooms pours into the bigger picture of preserving our society’s health by helping COVID-19 patients get adequate care. We lead by example and focus on nurturing a socially responsible environment, aiming at having our 1200 employees at Prometeon Tyre Egypt as active citizens. We will continue to look at opportunities to furtherly support the Egyptian community fight and contain the COVID-19 pandemic.” This initiative comes as part of Prometeon Tyre Group global efforts to support the community stem the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the healthcare sector. At Group level Prometeon has, indeed, donated more than 301 thousand euros to local hospitals and international health organizations. Prometeon Tyre Egypt, the sole global industrial tyre manufacturer in the country, has recently contributed to set up a fully equipped operating room at the Alexandria Fever Hospital in support of national efforts to provide the best healthcare possible against the spread of COVID-19. The company installed advanced medical equipment, including a ventilator, autoclave, AC units, blood pressure monitors and various logistical elements to set up a well-established operating room, along with its extension.
